文献和实验C26 H36 O6 ，蟾蜍（ Bufo vulgaris）皮肤腺中的一种毒素，溶剂化的结晶， 154℃下湿润，分解点 23℃，溶于乙醇和氯仿，作为蟾蜍主要毒素的蟾毒配基 B二酯（ bufotoxin，蟾毒配基 B酯的 C14-辛二酰精氨酸酯）的酯部分，在体内水解而生成蟾毒配基 B（乙酸）酯。
醇跟酸（有机酸或无机酸）脱水后的生成物叫酯。酯分无机酸酯和有机酸酯两类。CH 3 CH 2 ONO 2 （硝酸乙酯）、（CH 3 CH 2 CH 2 CH 2 O） 3 PO（磷酸三丁酯）、（CH 3 CH 2 O） 2 SO 2 （硫酸二乙酯）等属于无机酸酯，CH 3 COOC 2 H 5 （乙酸乙酯）、CH 3 COOCH＝CH 2 （醋酸乙烯酯）、C 6 H 5 SO 2 OCH 3 （苯磺酸甲酯）等属于有机酸酯。羟基
甙元以羧基和糖的端基碳相连接的俄类是酯甙。酯甙的甙键既有缩醛性质又有酯的性质，易为稀酸和稀碱水解。例如山慈菇甙A和B即为酯甙，有抗霉菌活性。
