文献和实验就要在转膜后标记膜，或者剪膜，最后在“拼上”。要是想直接将Marker结果显示在最后结果上，不用手工作图或者拼接，那就要Western专用的Marker了。比如生物素标记的蛋白标准。这种方法主要是配合化学发光法：在蛋白分子量上标记生物素，通过带有抗生物素的抗体或者偶联链亲霉素的抗体，在化学发光检测到目的蛋白带时就可以同时看到相应的分子量标准一起发光显影了。不同于普通蛋白分子量标准的便宜、预染蛋白分子量的方便，这一方法的优点是与Marker和目的蛋白对应性好，同时在同张片上显示，不用拼接，利于分析。缺点
