Overview
Dye used to detect protein bands after western blotting.
Uses & applications
Although it is relatively insensitive, it is simple, rapid and easily reversible which allows further detection.
Once stained with Ponceaus S, transferred proteins appears as red bands on a pink background.
Please note that Ponceaus S is not suitable for use with nylon membranes.
