吲哚乙酸氧化酶 indoleacetic acid oxida-se 吲哚 -3-乙酸为植物组织的抽提腋氧化分解，称催化此反应的酶为吲哚乙酸氧化酶。然而其实质并不十分明瞭。此酶反应为过氧化氢酶或氰化物、叠氮化物、重金属等所抑制。此反应所要求的辅因子与植物组织抽提液的辅因子非常一致，因此认为吲哚乙酸氧化酶是过氧化物酶的一种。分离的过氧化物酶也能氧化分解吲哚乙酸。吲哚乙酸为吲哚乙酸氧化酶作用形成生理上无活性的 3-亚甲羟吲哚。这个酶系的活性对应于植物组织的发育年龄、就是说从幼细胞到老细胞
