Antigenically related but distinct from type C.
Disrupt cells of seed stock using glass beads and vortex.
Infect shell vial monolayer with 0.1 mL of diluted seed stock. contrifuge at 2000X for 1 hr.
Feed with medium containing cycloheximide. This preparation has tested negative for Mycoplasma by culture; the PCR test results are ambiguous.
Antigenically related but distinct from type C.
Effect on Host CPE, intracellular inclusion bodies
Recommended Host McCoy cells (ATCC® CRL-1696™)
