(R)-Valiolamine Voglibose is the main R-enantiomeric intermediate of Voglibose (V750000), an α-glucosidase inhibitor that works by delaying the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates, thereby inhibiting postprandial hyperglycemia and hyperinsulinemia.
