Oleic acid is an 18 carbon unsaturated fatty acid lipid with excellent hydrophobicity. PEG modified oleic acid (Oleic acid PEG) is a good amphilphilic polymer with both hydrophilicity and hydrophobility. Pegylated lipids are excellent liposome formation materials that can be used for drμg delivery, gene transfection and vaccine delivery as well. These materials can also be used for targeted drμg delivery by modifying their surfaces with targeting ligands such as antibodies, peptides.
