descriptionNicotinamide is an amide of nicotinic acid, a vitamin of the B complex. In cells, it is incorporated into NADP+ and NAD+, coenzymes for a wide variety of enzymatic oxidation-reduction reactions. Nicotinamide is reported to exhibit anti-inflammatory properties and promote the differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells to insulin producing cells in conjunction with growth factors and other reagents. Nicotinamide suppresses sirtuin activity and is used to promote the formation and increase the lifespan of organoids.

Animal Models of Niacin-Nicotinamide Deficiency
The human disease caused by niacin (vitamin B3 ) deficiency is pellagra, a disease that at one time filled insane asylums all over the world before the function of niacin was discovered. The recognition of pellagra as an endemic disease
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+ ) plays a critical role in regulating numerous biological and physiological pathways including metabolism, inflammation, cancer, and aging in mammals. Here we describe a highly quantitative method
