    分化簇（CD）系统通常用作免疫表型的细胞标志物。免疫系统中
    不同种类的细胞可以通过与细胞免疫功能相关的表面CD分子来识别。
    有超过32个CD独特集群和子集群已被识别。一些CD分子通过启动信号
    级联来作为对细胞重要的受体或配体，然后改变细胞的行为。一些CD
    蛋白不参与细胞信号过程，但具有其他功能，如细胞粘附。CD97是一
    种主要在白细胞中表达的受体，属于一组新的七跨跨膜分子，也是
    EGF-TM7家族设计的。家族成员的特征是具有几个N-末端表皮生长因子
    样结构域的延伸细胞外区域，其中两个结构域含有钙结合位点。成熟的
    CD97有两个非共价相关的亚基，由一个大的细胞外蛋白（CD97α）和一
    个七膜跨膜蛋白（CD97-β）组成。CD97被认为是G蛋白偶联受体的一
    个决定性特征。淋巴细胞和红细胞粘附在CD97转染的COS细胞上的作
    用表明CD97具有结合细胞配体的能力。CD97α具有三种选择性剪接的亚
    型，它们与微纤维蛋白原纤维蛋白中的钙结合EGF样重复序列有关。相
    对于正常淋巴组织中CD97的表达，CD97强阳性的白细胞集中在炎症部
    位。
