    鸢尾素(也称为 FNDC5)是一种 12 kDa 的糖基化多肽激素，调节能
    量代谢、干细胞分化和神经元发育。鸢尾素是一个 212 个氨基酸(aa)的
    前体，编码 1 型跨膜蛋白，其胞外结构域(ECD)为 121 个氨基酸，跨膜
    结构域为 21 个氨基酸，胞质结构域为 39 个氨基酸。鸢尾素的 ECD 包
    含一个 III 型纤维连接蛋白结构域和多个糖基化位点。ECD 被蛋白水解
    裂解以释放 11aa 可溶性鸢尾素激素进入循环。成熟的人、小鼠和大鼠
    鸢尾素具有 100%的序列一致性。鸢尾素在运动期间和运动后不久在骨
    骼肌和皮下脂肪组织中被诱导表达。鸢尾素诱导过氧化物酶体增殖物激
    活受体γ共激活因子 1 α (PGC1 α)和解偶联蛋白 1 (UCP1)的表达，线粒体
    相关代谢蛋白。鸢尾素诱导白色脂肪组织转化为代谢更活跃的米色脂肪
    组织。在小鼠中，鸢尾素的表达已被证明可以调节肥胖和糖尿病。在人
    类中也有类似的功能。鸢尾素还调节脑内神经元细胞的分化和神经突的
    生长，并参与成骨细胞的分化。
