Wnt-3a 是一种分泌蛋白，对海马的胚胎发育、前后模式、体节发育
和尾芽形成是必需的。它还促进造血干细胞、神经干细胞和胚胎干细胞
的自我更新。Wnts 的翻译后糖基化和酰化分别对其高效分泌和生物活
性至关重要。Wnt 与细胞表面卷曲家族受体结合，与低密度脂蛋白受体
相关蛋白家族受体（LRP5 或 6）结合，从而稳定细胞内β-连环蛋白水平。
随着细胞内β-连环蛋白水平的升高，β-连环蛋白与 TCF/LEF 转录因子结
合，导致 Wnt 靶基因的表达。
