Amicon ® Ultra 15 mL centrifuge and Ultracel ® The 10000 Dalton molecular weight cutoff filter provides fast ultrafiltration and reliable macromolecule retention. For example, the retention rate of cytochrome C (12.4 kDa) at an initial concentration of 0.25 mg/ml is>95%.
The vertical design and effective membrane surface area provide fast sample processing, high sample recovery (typically greater than 90% of the dilute starting solution), and a processing capacity of 80 times the concentration. The vertical design minimizes solute polarization and subsequent membrane fouling, and the physical permanent stop point in the filtration device prevents spinning drying and potential sample loss.
Use a pipette to collect the concentrated solution from the sample library of the filtration device, while collecting the ultrafiltration solution in the provided centrifuge tube. This device can rotate in a swinging bucket or in a fixed angle rotor. Amicon ® The Ultra 15 mL filter features a vertical membrane design and permanent stop point, providing the highest recovery rate in a short rotation time.
