一般描述

c-Fos是也被鉴定为原癌基因的立即早期基因（IEG）转录因子家族的成员（其他成员包括Jun和Egr-1）。c-Fos和其他IEG的基础表达通常较低，但响应通常由外部刺激（例如应激或神经元激活）引起的细胞活性变化而相对快速且通常急剧增加（mRNA为15-30分钟；蛋白为30-60分钟）。因此，这些IEG用于指示比活驱动的细胞活化，包括鉴别由各种生长因子、神经活性药物激活的神经元以及行为或生理状态的相关变化。

特异性:该抗体识别c-Fos的N末端。
