DESCRIPTION:
The glutathione S-transferase (GST, previously known as ligandins) family of enzymes is composed of many cytosolic, mitochondrial, and microsomal proteins. GSTs are present in eukaryotes and in prokaryotes, where they catalyze a variety of reactions and accept endogenous and xenobiotic substrates. GST tag antibody can be helpful in detecting the fusion protein during purification as well as the cleavage of GST from the protein of interest.
SPECIFICITY: The GST tag antibody can recognize C-terminal, internal, and N-terminal GST fusion proteins.

应用。用GST融合表达系统表达外源基因时，需要对融合表达的产物进行检测和纯化，这里面就包括了GST标签抗体的应用，如果选择一个最具性价比的GST抗体显得尤为重要。首先需要考虑抗体的来源，比如小鼠源的单克隆抗体还是兔源的多克隆抗体，一般来说，单抗的特异性、稳定性以及效价都要优于多克隆抗体。EarthOx的GST标签抗体――Anti-GST Tag Monoclonal Antibody [GST.B6]（货号#E022040）是来源于小鼠的单克隆抗体，克隆号为GST.B6，免疫原为GST多肽 。
