There are three different main production lines: microbiology culture media products, diagnostic products and research products.

The basic mass production of prepared ready-to-use culture media products consists of more than 170 different formulations, used in clinical microbiology laboratories to screen for microbial presence, grow and identify microorganisms and test for antibiotic susceptibility.

Novamed Ltd holds a firm place on the market of urinalysis products and continues to be in the lead of the local market of medical diagnostic and research products. Novamed’s DipStreak®/ChromoStreak®/Diaslide® urine culture devices are the type of bed-site devices for fast and simple UTI diagnosis. This is a novel method of isolation, counting and direct/presumptive identification of bacterial contamination in urine based on the color differences between colonies. The use of urine culture devices in doctor’s offices, private clinics, hospitals and out-patient communities completely changes the concept of urine examination and allows to save both patient’s and personnel’s time. Additionally, the cost of the test is considerably reduced. DipStreak®/ChromoStreak®/Diaslide® are already FDA approved, CE marked and successfully used in many countries in all over the world including Israel, Russia, Ukraine, Italy, USA and Japan.

Novamed’s production list for rapid immunodiagnostic products consists of more than 40 different items, intended for rapid diagnosis of infectious diseases and different physiological conditions in humans. The end user sector is represented by the clinical laboratories, emergency rooms, and doctor’s offices in Israel, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, Poland, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Lithuania, Kenya, Russia, Moldova, Belarus, Georgia, and Ukraine.
