Drug Delivery, a forward-thinking CRO (Contract Research Organization) based in Basel, Switzerland. We were contracted development work from some of the highest profile companies in the Pharmaceutical industry with our principal focus on improving the solubility of oral drugs.
We soon discovered how helpful it was to test poorly soluble drugs in dissolution media that simulates gastrointestinal fluids much more accurately than conventional buffer solutions alone. These ‘biorelevant’ media were conceived by Professor Jennifer Dressman who we continue to collaborate with to this day. We developed a unique product (originally known as SIF Powder) to make these gut fluid simulations in an instant and used it for in-house development projects initially. Before long we took the bold decision to offer our biorelevant media products to other labs and this proved to be a very popular move. The ten biggest Pharmaceutical companies and many of the foremost academic institutions in the world all now buy from us.
