Photometric: 260 nm/280 nm Absorbance ratio =0.50

Serological: 10 ug /ml solution showed lines of identity with 10 ug SEB/ ml standardwhen tested with anti SEB in double immunodiffusion assay. No crossreactivity was observed when tested at 100 ug / ml with anti SEA. SECSED, SEE and TSST (sensitivity approximately 5 ug/ ml).

Endotoxin : Less than 1 endotoxin units (EU) per mg by acolorimetric LAr assay

Solubility: After lyophilization, the SEB was re-dissolved to a1 mg/ml using deionized water. This solution was clear ithi one miute.

Storage: At -20℃, 1 mg/mlsolution is stable for at least one year

        At 4℃, 1 mg/ml solution is stable for two weeks

        In lyophilized, desiccated form, stable at least 5 years.
