Research Grade Gavilimomab Biosimilar，Human CD147 Monoclonal Antibody (ABX-CBL)为IgM亚型小鼠单克隆抗体，针对细胞表面的CD147进行特异性识别，并通过激活补体系统引发的细胞裂解实现细胞杀伤作用。该抗体主要用于移植物抗宿主病（GVHD）研究领域。

Basigin”是1990年村松隆史(Takashi Muramatsu)等人从小鼠分离并测序之后冠以的名称。他们确认该蛋白是免疫球蛋白超家族成员，其Ig样结构域同MHC-II的β-链和IgV结构域高度同源。于是从“basic immunoglobulin”中各取几个字母组成“Basigin”一词表示之，简称Bsg。当前BSG就是该基因的名称。不同于人类（起码当时以为如此），小鼠Bsg的表达似乎非常广泛。彼时它在人类被认为在正常细胞不表达，然而后来发现它及它的多个剪接变体——被分别命名为Bsg-1~4，它们表达于多种细胞和器官。Bsg-2就是一般意义上说的和最早发现的CD147/Bsg，并且其研究最多，分布最广泛。此外，Ig样结构域内的3个天冬酰胺可以（不同程度地）糖基化，Bsg的形式和功能变得更加繁杂。值得一提的是，之后又发现Bsg也有着自己的基因家族，其他两个成员是Embigin/GP70(EMB)和Neuroplastin/SDR1(NPTN)，它们均携带2-3个免疫球蛋白样(Ig-like)结构域。

CD147 (cluster of differentiation 147) is a glycoprotein initially known as a regulator of MMPs, through cell–matrix and cell–cell interaction and represents a potential target for cancer therapy . CD147 was found to be overexpressed in cancer cells and is believed to promote their malignant proprieties, such as proliferation and inhibition of cancer cell apoptosis . During the past decades, CD147 was implicated, in addition to its role as a regulator of MMPs, in several other functions due to its ability to regulate or to bind with different molecular partners and hence has the ability to modulate several cellular pathways . In particular, through its association with certain monocarboxylate transporter (MCTs), CD147 was shown to act as a key metabolic regulator in cancer. In addition, CD147 was also shown to be implicated in the angiogenesis process via the regulation of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) production in tumor and stromal cells .
