生化/生理作用

Agglutinin can agglutinate cells and precipitate polysaccharides and glycoproteins. [1] It is related to toxic allergens and hemagglutinin. Lectin exhibits anti-cancer, anti human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), and anti microbial infection properties. Lectin can inhibit mucosal atrophy, alleviate the symptoms of type 2 diabetes and obesity, strengthen nutrition absorption and regulate drug targeting. [7] PHA consists of two types of molecules, namely red blood cell agglutinin (PHA-E) with low mitogenic activity and high red blood cell agglutinin activity, and white blood cell agglutinin (PHA-L) with high mitogenic and white blood cell agglutinin activity but very low red blood cell agglutinin activity. PHA-E does not have blood type specificity, but its agglutination activity can be inhibited by certain oligosaccharides. Before separating and purifying red blood cell agglutinin and white blood cell agglutinin, PHA-P is the protein form of PHA. PHA-M is in the form of mucin. The conjugate is prepared from the corresponding purified lectin.
